NHPC registers its Highest ever Covid-19 vaccination in a single day

New Delhi: Following the call for large scale covid vaccination by Hon'ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi & as per directions of Shri R.K. Singh, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) (Power and New & Renewable Energy) & Minister of State (Skill Development & Entrepreneurship), Govt. of India, NHPC is organizing a two-day vaccination camp at National Power Training Institute (NPTI), Badarpur from 18th to 19th May 2021 in association with Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi for employees & family members of Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE), Govt. of India & various CPSUs/ organizations under Ministry of Power & MNRE in Delhi / NCR region.
Sh A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC visited the vaccination venue on the first day & expressed his gratitude to NHPC's staff involved in the vaccination drive for their dedication during this crisis period. He further thanked Apollo Hospitals for their association & to NPTI for providing the venue for the vaccination camp. Sh N.K. Jain, Director (Personnel), NHPC also visited the camp & he appreciated the arrangements made for smooth conduct of the vaccination camp.
The vaccination camp witnessed the largest single-day vaccinations by NHPC wherein 642 persons (including contract employees & security personnel) from MOP, NHPC, NTPC, IREDA, NPTI, BHEL, REC, THDC, PTC, CVPPPL and BBMB received first dosage of Covishield vaccine. The vaccination camp is being organised for the safety of power sector personnel so that uninterrupted power supply on a 24x7 basis is ensured.
