NHPC's 510 MW Teesta-V Power Station Sanitizes Yangyang Bazaar, South Sikkim to fight Covid-19
NHPC staff also sensitised the locals to continue to maintain COVID appropriate behaviour and follow Government guidelines in this regard.
New Delhi: The 510 MW Teesta-V Power Station of NHPC Limited contributed in fight against Covid-19 by sanitizing the Yangyang Bazaar in South Sikkim on 9th May 2021. Earlier, the local people of Yangyang Bazar committee had requested NHPC Teesta-V Power Station for help in the sanitization of Yangyang Bazaar, Sikkim.
NHPC responded promptly to the request and undertook the sanitization using bleaching chemicals and also used the Power Station's Fire Tender vehicle for sanitization.
The sanitization will help in keeping the local area clean and sanitized properly in the wake of spike of COVID-19 cases in the locality. NHPC's gesture was well appreciated by local people. The NHPC staff also sensitised the locals to continue to maintain COVID appropriate behaviour and follow Government guidelines in this regard.
