NIPM celebrates Foundation Day in association with BCPL

New Delhi: The Foundation Day of the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM), was celebrated on 15th March, 2022 by NIPM, Assam Chapter in association with BCPL at Administrative Building, BCPL, Lepetkata. The program started with the lighting of the lamp and felicitation of the Chief Guest, Shri Reep Hazarika, Managing Director, BCPL and other Board Members of NIPM, Assam Chapter, Shri Pranjit Deka, Chairman NIPM Assam Chapter, Shri B.P Bakshi, Founder member and Advisor of NIPM, Assam Chapter, Shri, Pranjal Bezbaruah, Vice Chairman, NIPM Assam Chapter, Dr.Shyamal Brauah, Secretary, NIPM, Assam Chapter/GM (HR), OIL and the keynote speaker Shri P. Senthil Kumar. 

Shri Asit Das, General Manager (HR) addressed the gathering by delivering the inaugural speech on the occasion. Shri Das in his deliberation emphasized the overall development of future manager leaders by following the six principles-Knowledge not marks, Skills not a degree, Friendship not followers,  Health not Wealth,  Experience not rewards, Purpose not positions. 

He also gave many live examples from movies like 3 idiots, waiting room, mountain man, inside LLweyn Davis, etc from where future managers/leaders can learn and grow.

Shri Pranjit Deka, Chairman, NIPM, Assam Chapter, highlighted the growth of NIPM and its presence in various national and international fora as a representative body of HR professionals, and the immense contribution made by the members in the field of human resources and industrial relations Shri Reep Hazarika, Managing Director, BCPL, as the chief guest for the event, greeted and congratulated everyone present on the occasion. He spoke about the importance of NIPM, the Assam Chapter, and emphasized industry-academia linkage.

Shri P.Senthil Kumar, a chemical engineer turned HR leader alumnus of NIT, Tirchy XLRI and  Ross School of Business, USA was invited as a keynote speaker to share his incredible experience and knowledge in the HR/IR domain and future trends in HR.

Dignitaries from Oil & Gas industries and academicians and students from Dibrugarh University and nearby colleges actively participated in the event.
