NLC India Limited Commenced Construction works for 1980 MW Power Plant in UP
KANPUR.Shri. Piyush Goyal, UnionMinister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, New & Renewable Energy and Mines, unveiled the plaque to commenced the construction works for Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Project (NUPPL), a Super Critical Thermal Power Project at Ghatampur in Kanpur district in Uttar Pradesh.
This power plant is a joint venture of NLC India Limited and Uttar Pradesh Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited. (UPRVUNL) through Neyveli Uttar Pradesh Power Limited (NUPPL)
Earlier, Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi, Member of Parliament, Kanpur Constituency, presided over the function for the construction of Super Critical Thermal Power Project. The Bhoomi Pooja was done in the presence of Shri Piyush Goyal, Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Minister of State (MoS) for Food Processing Industries , Shri. Devendra Singh (Bhole Singh), MP , Shri. Raghunandan Singh Bhadauriya, M.L.A, Satish Mahana , MLA and Dr.Sarat Kumar Achrya CMD,NLC India Limited and other dignitaries.
Addressing the function, Shri Piyush Goyal stated that it would also provides the maximum share of generated power to State Government to improve the power situation in the state.
Dr. Murali Manohar Joshi, said that, completion of the project in within time frame is the main concern of this Government, and he assured that, he will prioritize his concerns for the early construction of this project to see happiness in the people.
NLC India Limited Functional Directors Shri Rakesh Kumar, Shri SubirDas, Shri V Thangapandian , senior officials from UPRVUNL political leaders and senior officials from Central and State Govt. participated in the function.
