HONOR
National Award for Excellence in Cost Management
Neyveli: NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has been conferred with the National Award for Excellence in Cost Management under the category of Public Sector (Medium ) in the 14th ‘National Awards for Excellence in Cost Management – 2016’ presentation ceremony organized by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, in a Grand function at New Delhi, on 18th July 2017.
Shri Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble UnionMinister of State (IC) for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy and Mines and Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs presented the award to NLCIL.
Shri Rakesh Kumar, Director (Finance), on behalf of the company received the honour. CMA Manas Kumar Thakur, President, CMA Institute, S.C. Gupta, CMA, Director (PD & CPD) were present on the occasion.
NLC India has been following proven and innovative methods in cost management and therefore this award is conferred on NLCIL in recognition of the best efforts taken by Shri Rakesh Kumar, Director (Finance) in pursuing efficient and innovative approaches in Cost Management in NLCIL.
The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, a premier Cost and Management Accounting body, instituted the National Awards for Excellence in Cost Management in the year 2003 to recognise and honour organizations which have succeeded through efficient and innovative approaches in cost management. Participation by a large number of companies small, medium and large, across the various sector of the economy in the past demonstrates the popularity of the award and its impact on spreading the message of cost consciousness and cost management across the country.
