NRDC Licensed TRIFED And IIT Delhi Developed Technology On Mahua And Pomegranate Nutrabeverage
New Delhi: NRDC signed technology licensing agreement with M/s Aadiwasi Bahuuddyashiya Sahakari Samiti Maryadit, Raipur Chhattisgarh for manufacturing of “MAHUA NUTRABEVERAGE, A VALUE ADDED PRODUCT FROM MAHUA FLOWER AND POMEGRANATE OR OTHER FRUITS developed by IIT DELHI & Funded by TRIFED on 6th March 2020 in TRIFED Office, New Delhi.
Agreement is signed by Dr. H. Purushotham, Chairman and Managing Director and Shri Tukeshwar Kanwar President of M/s Aadiwasi Bahuuddyashiya Sahakari Samiti Maryadit Chhattisgarh in the august presence of Shri Pravir Krishna IAS, Managing Director, Tribal Cooperative Marketing Development Federation of India (TRIFED).
The technology is very much useful in tribal belt of the country and its USP is Mahua Nutrabeverage retains part of the natural nutritional anti-oxidant and medicinal properties of mahua flower and fruit juice. Low alcoholic content in the product works as good appetizer and good health tonic. This is the first technology TRIFED licensed by NRDC which is expected to create employment opportunities to the local tribes and utilisation of minor forest produce for Socio-economic benefit.
