New Delhi: NRL marks the dawn of a new era in India's clean and renewable energy journey with the launch of the Mahindra EV at the NRL Centre. 

This significant step aligns seamlessly with PM Modi’s Net Zero commitment to promote sustainable energy practices and combat climate change.

Govt of India’s ambitious Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, worth over Rs. 18,000 crores, aims to stimulate the manufacturing of advanced chemistry cells with a combined capacity of 50 Gigawatt hours, reducing the cost of electric vehicles and making them more accessible to the Indian populace.

Additionally, in line with the government's continued support towards electrification, the GST on electric vehicles and charging stations has been significantly reduced. Coupled with green license plates and waived road tax, PM Modi’s efforts are making EV ownership highly attractive for Indian citizens. 

MoP&NG’s target of installing alternate fuel stations at 22,000 retail outlets by May 2024 further strengthens this vision. Today, as we unveil the Mahindra EV 002, NRL reaffirms its pledge to create a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable future for India.
