NTPC Bongaigaon come up with remote operated portable alert system
Bongaigaon: Reverse Movement of Train is not recommended as it is unsafe in any power plant working environment and its operations. At NTPC Bongaigaon siding, it is a constraint to move rakes in reverse order for placement of coal rakes in Wagon Tippler.
To ensure safety, NTPC Bongaigaon has come up with a remotely operated portable alert system with a red led flasher and siren during reverse movement of the rake which is the first of its kind in NTPC Eastern Region -II HQs. This Wireless Flasher & Siren system gives the user the warning signal through Sound & Flasher Light. Designed for use in a wide variety of siren applications especially requiring personal attention, the alert system is uniquely designed with pleasing aesthetics & rugged construction. The alert system is easy, hassle-free, and operates on 240V 50Hz mains supply.
The Rake reversal remote-operated alert system was inaugurated by Shri Subrata Mandal, CGM, NTPC Bongaigaon, Shri Ramakanta Panda, GM (Maintenance), Shri Umesh Singh (FM), Shri Ajoy Kumar Dutta, AGM (TS), Shri A.K.Chawla, AGM (HR), Shri C R Nandi, AGM (FM) and other Fuel Management members were also present during the inauguration programme.
