NTPC Bongaigaon’s E-VOICE gives employment wings to nearby youth
The students Ms.Kajali Barman, Ms. Swdwmshri Narzary, Ms. Barnali Barman, Shri Rakesh Barman, Shri Bipul Barman, Shri Hriday Barman and Ms. Gayatri Roy has been selected in the recently conducted Assam Police entrance examinations for the state.
New Delhi: A total of 7 students from Disha classes run by NTPC Bongaigaon employees free of cost through its e-VOICE initiative “Helping Hands” have cracked the Assam Police Exam 2022 in the Constable category.
The students Ms.Kajali Barman, Ms. Swdwmshri Narzary, Ms. Barnali Barman, Shri Rakesh Barman, Shri Bipul Barman, Shri Hriday Barman and Ms. Gayatri Roy has been selected in the recently conducted Assam Police entrance examinations for the state.
These young children from the nearby villages of the Bodoland Territorial Region have been getting training for the competitive exams of various state and central armed forces by NTPC employees and the physical training has been imparted by CISF posted at the power station.
NTPC Bongaigaon e-VOICE team has always ensured the holistic development of the area and its focus through the Disha class has been to empower the local youth of the district through various employment avenues.
Every year, the e-VOICE helping hands' team have been providing various sports equipment, study infrastructure, etc to around 80 students (both girls & boys) of nearby villages of Salakati, Kokrajhar at the CISF Barrack, NTPC Bongaigaon for assisting and equipping them for various physical training activities for constable and other allied recruitment examinations.
EVOICE’ (Employee Voluntary Organizations for Initiatives in Community Development) aims to internalize the CSR agenda and employees from all fields are encouraged to volunteer various community-based programs. EVOICE’ formed by NTPC employees at various stations complement NTPC’s CSR initiatives. NTPC employees are contributing actively to more than 25 E-VOICE across the country.
