NTPC provides financial support to Uttarakhand for relief, rehabilitation and restoration work
This amount is part of the total CSR support of Rs. 22.5 crore jointly provided by the Power Sector CPSEs of the Ministry of Power.

New Delhi: NTPC Limited has provided financial support of Rs. 8.00 crore (Rupees eight crore only) for relief, rehabilitation, and restoration work in the disaster-hit areas of Uttarakhand under its CSR initiative.
This amount is part of the total CSR support of Rs. 22.5 crore jointly provided by the Power Sector CPSEs of the Ministry of Power.
Union Minister of Power, New and Renewable Energy, Shri R. K. Singh, handed over a cheque of Rs 22.5 to Shri Dhan Singh Rawat, Hon'ble Minister for Education, Health and Disaster Management, Uttarakhand State, on behalf of all CPSEs of Power Sector in the presence (online) of Hon'ble Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Power, Shri Krishna Pal, Shri Alok Kumar, Secretary (Power), GOI and other senior officers of Ministry of Power and CMDs & other senior officers of CPSUs.
Chairman and Managing Director, NTPC, Shri Gurdeep Singh, and other senior officials of NTPC attended the ceremony through a virtual platform.
Minister has appreciated the efforts of NTPC and CPSEs in re-building of disaster-hit Uttarakhand state.
