PESB Board Find 'No' suitable candidate for NEEPCO's CMD
Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), a high powered body constituted by Government of India on Tuesday states that the PESB Board has find no such suitable candidate for the post of Chairman & Managing Director of North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) Limited.

New Delhi: Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB), a high powered body constituted by Government of India on Tuesday states that the PESB Board has find no such suitable candidate for the post of Chairman & Managing Director of North Eastern Electric Power Corporation (NEEPCO) Limited.
The Board interviewed two applicants in the selection meeting including Mr. Satish Upadhyay, Executive Director, NTPC Limited, Mr. Sudip Nag, Executive Director, NTPC Limited.
However the board advised the ministry of power to choose an appropriate course of further action including search-cum-selection Committee (SCSC) or deemed appropriate for the selection with the approval of the competent authority.
North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Limited (NEEPCO) is a central public sector undertaking. It is under the ownership of Ministry of Power, Government of India. It was formed on 2 April 1976 to plan, investigate, design, construct, generate, operate and maintain power stations in the North Eastern Region of India. NEEPCO is conferred with the Schedule A- Miniratna Category-I CPSU status.
