The following Director (System Operation) for Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India), would be Rajiv Kumar Porwal. The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday nominated Porwal for the position.

PESB recommends Rajiv Kumar Porwal as Director (System Operation) of Grid India
NEW DELHI- The following Director (System Operation) for Grid Controller of India Limited (Grid-India), would be Rajiv Kumar Porwal. The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) panel on Tuesday nominated Porwal for the position. He is currently working for the same organization as the Executive Director. A PSU under the Ministry of Power is Grid-India. It is in charge of running the five Regional Load Despatch Centers and the National Load Despatch Center (NLDC). (RLDCs).
Porwal was chosen from a list of 10 candidates who were interviewed by the PESB selection panel during its selection meeting on March 21 for the position of Director (System Operation) of Grid India.
Six of the ten candidates came from Grid-India, two from Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, one from NTPC Limited, and one from the Indian Ordnance Factory Health Service.
As a member of the Board of Directors and Director (System Operation) of Grid India, Porwal would answer to the Chairman and Managing Director. (CMD). He will be in charge of the nation's Power System's overall secure and dependable operation, operational planning, grid integration issues, electricity scheduling and dispatch, monitoring real-time electricity grid operations, post facto analysis of the grid operations through the NLDC & RLDCs, as well as cyber security.
