PM Modi takes to Linkedin to talk about merits of demonetisation
NEW DELHI .Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday took to professional networking website Linkedin to hammer home his message and appealed people to “lead the change” towards cashless transactions in a bid to check corruption.
Linkedin is largely used by professionals, and the Prime Minister’s remarks comes at a time when salaried people are having to deal with the ongoing cash crunch in banks and ATMs.
Justifying his strong appeal for increased cashless transactions and mobile banking, Modi wrote that large volumes of liquid cash are a big source of corruption and black money, and urged “young friends to lead the change and inspire others to turn towards cashless transactions”. He stated that this will set the foundation for a strong India that has no place for corruption and for black money.
