New Delhi: Damodar valley corporation celebrated its 75th foundation day on July 7, 2022. On the glorious occasion, the company organised a Mega event at Science City auditorium. The event graced by the Chief Guest, the Hon'ble Minister for Power & New & Renewable Energy, Government of India, Shri R. K. Singh.
The Hon'ble Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy was cordially welcomed to the mega event through a tribal dance and he was guided through a tour of the photo exhibition on the glorious history of DVC.
The Hon'ble Minister addressed the DVC parivaar on this auspicious occasion and urged DVC to step towards a new beginning through way of more capacity expansion in both the renewable and non-renewable energy sector. He also motivated the work force of DVC to think nationally beyond its present command area and thus contribute towards the sustainable development of the nation.
Singh also graciously applauded DVC for turning around from being a loss making organization to a profit making one. He also released Special Cover and DVC MY STAMP in presence of the PostMaster, General, Kolkata and launched a Commemorative volume on DVC(DVC: Saga of a River Valley Project) & a Hindi magazine. A corporate film on DVC was also screened in presence of the Hon'ble dignitaries in this mega function.
