PowerGrid Northern Region-II handed over nine Oxygen Concentrators to Deputy Commissioner, Jammu
These Oxygen Concentrators of about Rs 4.5 lacs have been given under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of POWERGRID.
New Delhi: Shri Kailash Rathore, Executive Director, POWERGRID Northern Region-II handed over nine Oxygen Concentrators to Shri Anshul Garg, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu on 19.06.2021. These Oxygen Concentrators of about Rs 4.5 lacs have been given under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative of POWERGRID.
This initiative will help in augmenting the health infrastructure of Jammu and increase the number of beds with oxygen facilities to tackle the emergent situation owing to COVID-19.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Rathore reiterated POWERGRID’s commitment in contributing to well being of society. He also apprised about such assistance given to various district authorities during the COVID-19 situation within the region.
On the behalf of District administration, Jammu, Shri Rakesh Dubey, ADC (Jammu) and Shri Satish Sharma, ADC (Jammu) and other senior officials of POWERGRID were also present on the occasion.
POWERGRID is a ‘Maharatna’ Company under the Ministry of Power, Government of India. POWERGRID’s physical assets along with its subsidiaries as on date stand at 171,950 ckm of transmission lines, 262 substations, and more than 444,738 MVA of transformation capacity.
With the adoption of the latest technological tools and techniques, enhanced use of automation and digital solutions, POWERGRID maintained average transmission system availability of 99.83%.
As a responsible corporate citizen, POWERGRID has embarked upon several initiatives during the pandemic for providing necessary help in preventing and treating COVID 19 and sensitizing others about COVID-19 appropriate behavior. POWERGRID not only ensures reliable transmission of power but it is also ensuring unfading smiles for people.
