NRL will import crude oil from Paradeep Port through a 1630 KM Crude Oil Pipeline to Numaligarh.

New Delhi: On 7th July, A Bhumi Puja ceremony has been conducted by NRL with the gracious presence of Shri Rameswar Teli, Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Labour & Employment to mark the auspicious beginning of the Crude Oil Import Terminal to be built by NRL at Paradeep port as part of the Company's Integrated Refinery Expansion plan to enhance its capacity from 3 MMTPA to 9 MMTPA. 

Mr. B J Phukan, MD (I/C),  NRL, Mr. Indranil Mittra, DF, NRL, Mr. Sudip Pradhan, Independent Director, NRL, Mr. P L Haranadh, Chairman, Paradeep Port Authority, distinguished officials of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. Paradeep Refinery and Paradeep Port Trust and business partners of NRL were all present in the occasion. 

The Terminal with 10 Crude Oil Tanks of capacity 60,000 KL each will be constructed in a plot measuring 234 acres which has been leased out by Paradeep Port Authority on long term basis. NRL will import crude oil from Paradeep Port through a 1630 KM Crude Oil Pipeline to Numaligarh. 

The 6 MMTPA Pipeline will be a lifeline for all the Assam based Refineries since it would ensure Crude Oil availability in the region in the future.
