RINL-Vizag Steel’s New Stock Yard at Guwahati
The New stockyard is located at Pandu premises of Inland Waterways Authority of India, Guwahati.
Guwahati: In line with the Government of India’s various developmental initiatives being taken up in the North-East region, Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant opened a new Stockyard at Guwahati, the capital of Assam to make Quality Vizag steel products easily accessible to the North East region of India.
The New stockyard is located at Pandu premises of Inland Waterways Authority of India, Guwahati. The first train rake with Vizag Steel products arrived here on 26th July 2021.
Shri DK Mohanty, Director (Commercial) & CMD-Addl. Charge, while Congratulating RINL collective and marketing department in particular for expanding the company's market, said that this stockyard will cater to the needs of the customers in the North-Eastern region and help in the Infrastructural growth & developmental projects of that region. He also said, "This will help RINL to contribute to the priority agenda of GOI to develop the North-East Sector.".
The first consignment was handed over to the delighted customer M/s Larsen & Toubro ECC group in the presence of RM (East) & other Senior Officials of RINL and the material were dispatched for their ongoing projects in the NE region.
