RINL Vizag Steel plant celebrates Gandhi Jayanti in Ukkunagaram
Shri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and paid rich tributes in Mahatma Gandhi Park in Sector-8.
Visakhapatnam: RINL, the corporate entity of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant joined the Nation in celebrating the “Father of the Nation” Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti in Ukkunagaram today with much enthusiasm.
Shri Atul Bhatt, CMD, RINL garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi and paid rich tributes in Mahatma Gandhi Park in Sector-8.
Shri Bhatt recalled the sacrifices, services, and high moral values of Mahatma Gandhi and said that he exhibited great patience and courage, always encouraging people to have faith in them. He advocated the importance of education, cleanliness, health & equality in society, and empowering women's rights. “The importance of cleanliness was taken forward by the Hon'ble PM with the launch of the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan to incorporate the habit of Cleanliness,” CMD said.
Shri Atul Bhatt congratulated the RINL collective for the performance in the first half of the year which has shown improvement with respect to CPLY. Hot metal production, Liquid steel production, Saleable steel production achieved a growth of 96%, 95%, and 73% respectively. Sales & turnover registered a growth of 10% and 107% respectively.
He wished that the RINL collective, drawing inspiration from the great mahatma, would challenge the status quo & make continuous improvements through teamwork and single-minded dedication to succeed and position itself as the leading steel producer in the world.
Sri VV Venugopal Rao, Director (Finance), Sri KK Ghosh, Director (Projects), Shri KV Nagireddy, CVO and Sr.Commandant, CISF also paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi.
Senior officers of RINL, representatives of SEA, Union leaders, SC&ST association, representatives of Women in Public Sector and employees participated adhering to Covid Protocol.
