SAIL Chairman lights up BSL's Blast Furnace equipped with new features
Smt. Mondal later visits the newly commissioned state of the art caster facility in SMS-New.
New Delhi: SAIL-Chairman Smt. Soma Mondal inaugurated the 50th-anniversary celebration of Bokaro Steel Plant's Coke Oven Battery #4 in the august presence of Director I/c Shri Amarendu Prakash, EDs and senior officials.
She also lights up BSL's Blast Furnace 4 equipped with new design features like with more number of Tuyeres, upgraded BLT hydraulic system etc after its campaign repair.
Smt. Mondal later visits the newly commissioned state of the art caster facility in SMS-New. Bokaro Steel has now achieved 100% steel production through the more cost & energy efficient 'continuous casting process'.
Further, she inaugurated the newly indigenously renovated Crane #1 and other torpedo pit facilities, allowing the shop to meet its daily output goal of 40 heats by supplying 15 'torpedoes transfer cars' each day.
