Like previous years, this year also FIRE SERVICES WEEK is being observed at DSP from 14th to 20th April, 2022. The weeklong event at DSP started with NATIONAL FIRE SERVICES DAY being observed on 14.04.2022.

NEW DELHI- Like previous years, this year also FIRE SERVICES WEEK is being observed at DSP from 14th to 20th April, 2022. The weeklong event at DSP started with NATIONAL FIRE SERVICES DAY being observed on 14.04.2022 at Central Fire Station inside plant in the memory of firemen, who lost their lives during Mumbai Dock explosion on 14.04.1944 along with paying homage to the brave firefighters also, who lost their lives while performing their duties.
Thereafter hoisting of Fire Flag was done by Shri Amarnath Banerjee, CGM I/c (Services) on 14.04.2022 at the Central Fire Station of DSP, amidst presence of officials, employees and Fire Services personnel.
A minute's silence was also observed as a mark of respect to the dead and injured firefighters, after which oath was taken by Fire personnel.
It may be known that various safety awareness programs, events & promotional campaigns including mock drills, demonstrations, hands on training, technology seminars, familiarization with the use & operational facts of SCBA, precautionary measures to be adopted at non-breathing places like COCC, SMs etc. have been planned to be organized during the weeklong event to promote fire safety awareness amongst employees, contract workmen, DSOs, CISF personnel and others aimed at sensitizing them to remain safe and adopt safe working practices.
