SCI Participated in Relief Efforts Targeted at Fisherman Affected by OCKHI
New Delhi: Under able guidance of Hon'ble Minister of State of Shipping, Shri Pon Radhakrishnan, The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd, has immediately participated in relief efforts targeted at fisherman affected and stuck in Ratnagiri, Devgad and Veraval, in the aftermath of Cyclone Ockhi, On Friday, 8th December, 2017
The cyclone was one of the strongest unprecedented tropical storms of 2017 and paralysed communities dependant on the sea for their livelihood, in its wake. Collaborating with Shri Pon Radhakrishnan, SCI, whose motto has always been ,'Transporting goods, Transforming lives' facilitated the distribution of blankets and other primary relief materials, among the affected habitations.
