SECI & BSHCL signed agreement for 210 MW renewable energy
New Delhi: Solar Energy Corporation of India Limited on Friday entered into an agreement with The Bihar State Holding Company Limited (BSHCL) for 210 MW renewable energy with assured peak to ensure 24x7 green power supply to identified areas. Initially, Rajgir, Bodhgaya, and parts of Patna are targeted to get green energy. PSA of 210 MW assured peak power was signed with Bihar at Patna on May 20, 2022, in the presence of Sh Sanjeev Hans, IAS, CMD, Sh Prabhakar, IAS, MD, North Bihar DISCOM, Sh Mahendra Kumar IAS, MD of South Bihar DISCOM & SECI officials. The agreement with SECI will replace about 700 million units per unit of conventional energy with green power which turn will reduce CO2 emission by about 630 million tonne per annum.
