SECL helps Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh to fight COVID-19
Bishrampur: South Eastern Coalfields Ltd. (SECL) a subsidiary of Coal India Ltd. is putting in all its resources to fight COVID-19 in the state of Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh. SECL has allocated 184 beds for isolation and quarantine and 12 beds in ICU to fight COVID-19 in their hospitals in Churcha, Bishrampur, Kurasia, Surakachar, Gevra, Manendragarh, Kotma, Nowrazabad, Korba and Dhanpuri located in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh.
SECL has distributed 94,486 masks and 2648 litres of hand sanitizer to its employees and the local residents around its mines to help contain COVID-19. SECL has also installed disinfectant chambers at its pit-top in its Chirimiri & Baikunthpur mines to disinfect its miners and employees before they enter the mine.
It has also extended support of Rs. 25 lakhs each to the districts of Korba, Bilaspur and Surajpur in Chhattisgarh and Anuppur, Shahdol and Umaria in Madhya Pradesh. SECL is also using fog cannon mist spray to disinfect and sanitize areas around its operations.
