SECL registers its highest coal production, offtake, and OBR in January
SECL's total coal production increases by 13% on an annual basis.
With a record increase of 13%, the company's total production crossed 142 tonnes.
SECL registered a record performance in January and has recorded the highest coal production, offtake and OBR in its history. The company recorded 19.74 MT coal production in January while the company’s dispatch stood at 16.35 MT coal and did a total OBR of 31.39 MCuM.

The total coal production of the company has crossed 142 million tonnes in the April-January period of the current financial year. The company had produced 126 MT of coal in the same period in the last financial year and thus in the current financial year the company has achieved a record growth of 16.80 MT (13%).

With an increase of 17.67 million tonnes in offtake, the company has dispatched 148.79 million tonnes of coal to various industries in the country including thermal power plants in the period April-January 23-24.
The company’s annual production target for the financial year 23-24 is 197 million tonnes. In this financial year 23-24, the company has already achieved the fastest 100 MT coal production and dispatch as well as 100 MCuM OBR.
