Secretary Coal Shri Sushil Kumar reviewed performance of WCL appreciated companys progress and initiatives
NAGPUR. Secretary Coal, Shri Sushil Kumar took a review meeting of Western Coalfields Limited (WCL). Shri. Kumar appreciated the performance and out of box initiatives of WCL. While addressing Shri. Kumar congratulated Team WCL for turnaround of the company, which was incurring operational losses till 2014-15. He called upon Team WCL to achieve coal production target of financial year 2016-17 following highest standards of safety and environmental measures. He also stressed upon using new technology.
After review meeting Shri. Kumar inspected pilot project of sand segregation from mine overburden, set up in Bina - Bhanegaon mine of WCL. He also inaugurated pilot project of brick manufacturing from mixture of clay and fly ash at the same sight. He appreciated the good quality of sand and bricks made by WCL and advised to set a big plant for the same. Further he inspected Eco park of WCL and Saoner Underground Mine Nmber -1 of Nagpur Area.
