Shri A. K. Singh CMD NHPC Inaugurates Remote Operation Of TLDP-III And TLDP-IV
Siliguri: Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC inaugurates “Remote Operation of TLDP-III and TLDP-IV from Regional Office, Siliguri”. Shri A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC, India’s premier Hydropower Company, inaugurated the “Remote Operation of TLDP-III and TLDP-IV from Regional Office, Siliguri” in the presence of Shri. N.K. Jain, Director (Personnel), Shri Janardan Choudhary, Director (Technical) and senior executives of Corporate Office on 20.03.2020.
In next step, NHPC is planning the remote operations for its remotely located power stations i.e. Nimmo Bazgo (45 MW) and Chutak (44 MW) situated in Union Territory of Ladakh from Nimmo Bazgo and similar exercise of remote operation shall be done for few more Power Stations as per suitability. The Remote controlled operation of Power Stations will mark a new chapter in technological development for NHPC.
Earlier, the remote operation of all the generating units of Teesta Low Dam-III (132 MW) located in Rambi and Teesta Low Dam-IV (160 MW) located in Khalijhora, District Darjeeling (West Bengal) was successfully tested from NHPC Regional Office at Siliguri.
