Shri Chandra Mohan Patowary Minister of Commerce and Industry visited BCPL
New Delhi: Shri Chandra Mohan Patowary, Honourable Minister of Commerce and Industry, Transport, Parliamentary Affairs, Act East Policy, Skills Entrepreneurship & Employment, Govt. of Assam visited BCPL Lepetkata on 13th September 2019 for a coordination meeting with all the PSU’s of the North Eastern Region at Administrative Building, BCPL, Lepetkata.
Dr K. K. Dwivedi, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Shri S S Meenakshi Sundaram, IAS, Commissioner and Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Shri Virendra Mittal, IAS, Managing Director, AIDC, Shi Pallav Gopal Jha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Dibrugarh, Ms. Subashini Sankaran, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Dibrugarh and Chief Executive Officers of various PSU’s of the region along with senior officials were also present on the occasion.
Shri A K Singh, Managing Director BCPL welcomed the gathering and extended his thanks to all the dignitaries for their presence and cooperation.
The meeting was arranged to promote business relations amongst the various PSUs based in North East and issues like upliftment of downstream industries, local MSMEs etc., employment generation opportunities etc. were discussed. He expressed his contentment over ongoing industrial activities in North East and upcoming projects in the region.The minister also interacted with representatives of the PSU’s on issues and challenges faced by them while operating in the region. He further assured of extending full support to all the PSU’s in their business operations.
The meeting was a grand success with participation of officials of District Administration, Dibrugarh, Industries and Commerce Department, Government of Assam and PSUs.
