Shri E S Ranganathan met CIL Director Technical Shri Binay Dayal
New Delhi: Shri E S Ranganathan, Director (Marketing) of Gas Authority Indian Limited met Shri Binay Dayal, Director (Technical), Coal India Limited at Kolkata to discuss mutual co-operation between GAIL (India) Limited & Coal India Limited.
About GAIL
GAIL, Gas Authority of India Ltd is an Indian public sector natural gas processing and distribution company headquartered in New Delhi, India. It is a state-owned enterprise of the Government of India, under the administrative control of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. It was one of the largest cross-country natural gas pipeline projects in the world. This 1750-kilometre-long pipeline was built at a cost of Rs17 billion (US$240 million) and it laid the foundation for development of market for natural gas in India. The company supplies gas to power plants for generation of over 4,000 MW of power to the Fertilizer plants for production of 10 million tonnes of urea and to several other industries.

Coal India Limited (CIL) is an Indian public sector coal mining and refining company headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. It is the largest coal-producing company in the world and a Maharatna public sector undertaking. CIL ranks 8th among the top 20 firms responsible for a third of all global carbon emissions.
