Shri Nand Lal Sharma CMD SJVN donated mementoes or gifts
Shimla: As a gesture of goodwill and undertaking an innovative Outreach Program, Shri Nand Lal Sharma, CMD, SJVN Limited, donated mementoes/gifts received by him on various occasions and functions by outside agencies, organizations and groups. These 140 mementoes/gifts were donated to the lesser-paid outsourced employees deployed by various contractors in SJVN through Lucky Draw. These mementoes/gifts were exhibited in multipurpose hall of SJVN Head Quarters since 24th December 2019.
During the event Sh. NandLal Sharma said that it’s his personal social responsibility to make an effort to provide for amenities to individuals which are less privileged and termed it as ‘My Social Responsibility’ (MSR). He further exhorted the officers and employees of SJVN, including those are working at different projects, to voluntarily donate at least one item each, to be distributed amongst less privileged on 25.03.2019 (the day when VikramSamvat 2077 begins, i.e. Hindu Nav Varsh), under MSR and requested to make this practice regular event.
These mementoes included Paintings, Figurines, Idols, Utensils, Shawls, Caps, Mufflers etc. portraying the rich and diversified culture of India as well as neighbouring country Nepal. Sh. R.K. Bansal, Director (Electrical), Smt. GeetaKapur, Director (Personnel) along with other senior officers also attended the event.
