Shri T.Saminathan takes charge as CMD of KIOCL Limited
Shri T Saminathan holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and has more than 3 decades of experience in KIOCL Ltd
New Delhi: Shri T.Saminathan, Director (Commercial) has assumed charge of Chairman-cum-Managing Director of KIOCL Limited, (a Govt. of India Enterprise), under Ministry of Steel, today at Corporate Office, Bengaluru.
He holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management and has more than 3 decades of experience in KIOCL Ltd in the field of Iron Ore Mining, Beneficiation, Pelletization, and Pig Iron Making since joining KIOCL Limited in the year 1986 as Graduate Engineer.
During the initial period, he served in KudremukhMine, Beneficiation Plant and later on moved to Corporate Office, Bengaluru in 1992 and executed projects viz: Crusher- III installation, Relocation of Crusher-I and installation of additional Ball Mills at Kudremukh.
He was instrumental in bringing the tolling concept, which has resulted in increased Capacity utilization of the Pellet Plant and the Physical & Financial performance of the Company. He has put in place system improvements in supply chain and logistics, which has resulted in reduced transit and handling losses of Iron Ore Fines, brought down inventory holding levels, framed and implemented Risk Management Policy across the organization, introduced-procurement through service provider MSTC, and started procurement through the portal. He is a lifetime member in the Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) and the Indian Institute of Mineral Engineers (IIME).
