THDC commences draft tube installation for Vishnugad Pipalkoti HEP in Uttarakhand
The 444 MW hydroelectric project is located on the Alaknanda River, near Helong village in Uttarakhand.
THDC India Limited has commenced the installation of the draft tube in Unit 1 of the Vishnugad Pipalkoti Hydroelectric project (HEP).
The draft tube is crucial for channeling water that has passed through the turbine blades back into the river while maintaining pressure and enabling energy recovery.
This installation is essential for optimizing the overall performance and efficiency of the power generation process.
