BHEL-led consortium with TRSL signed Agreement with Indian Railways

New Delhi: BHEL-led consortium with Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd. (TRSL) has signed a Manufacturing cum Maintenance Agreement with Indian Railways for 80 nos. Vande Bharat Sleeper Trains, the order for which was received earlier.

For BHEL, it is a significant milestone in the company’s drive towards diversification. BHEL-TRSL consortium is a fully homegrown consortium of Indian companies that will be contributing towards achieving the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

As a consortium, both companies would develop world-class technology reducing the reliance on global OEMs. Aimed at promoting the country’s domestic industry, this will enhance the experience of passenger travel through rail transportation by way of local manufacturing and products.
