Wipro offers second salary hike for employees effective from September 2021
Wipro announced a hike in employees' salary for the second time
New Delhi: The Indian multinational IT company, Wipro Limited on Friday announced the second hike in employees salary for this calendar year, this will impact at least 80 percent of its employee base.
The company mentioned that this will be effective from September 1, 2021. “Wipro will initiate merit salary increases (MSI) for all eligible employees up to Band B3 (Assistant manager and below), effective September 1, 2021,” the company said.
"On average, the increments will be in the high single digits for offshore employees while it will be in the mid-single digits for onsite employees. The company will reward top performers with substantially higher increases," it said.
This is the second time company is offering an increase in employee's salary, the Wipro became the second IT services company to give a second salary hike in the same year following Tata Consultancy Services (TCS).
The TCS gave the first salary hike in the third quarter of Financial Year 2021 and in April 2021 announced the second hike.
