25th Meeting of Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC) Concludes at NTPC Korba
The meeting was chaired by Shri Rajiv Khanna, Executive Director, NTPC Korba, who emphasized the importance of Hindi as a natural, simple, and widely understood language.

Korba – The 25th meeting of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Korba, was successfully held in the BUH Conference Room of NTPC Korba’s administrative building. The meeting was chaired by Shri Rajiv Khanna, Executive Director, NTPC Korba, who emphasized the importance of Hindi as a natural, simple, and widely understood language.
He highlighted that Hindi gained the status of official language post-independence, and since then, several provisions, rules, and acts have been formulated for its promotion. "It is our collective responsibility to comply with these provisions and continue to advance the use of Hindi in official work," he remarked.
In his welcome address, Shri Shashi Shekhar, Head of Human Resources, NTPC Korba, extended a warm welcome to the Committee Chairman, office heads, and Hindi officers/in-charges from various Government of India offices. He also briefed the gathering about the initiatives undertaken by NTPC Korba for the promotion of Hindi.

During the meeting, a detailed review and discussion took place on key components of the Official Language Annual Program, including the timely dispatch of reports, enhanced usage, promotional activities, and implementation practices. The progress of official language implementation in institutions like New India Assurance and India Post was also reviewed.

"TOLIC provides a platform for mutual exchange and collaboration. The insights gained today should be used to strengthen the implementation of the official language policy with renewed commitment," he stated. He also expressed confidence that, with continued cooperation, a new direction can be charted for the advancement of Hindi.
The meeting witnessed participation from heads of offices and official language officers of various member organizations. The proceedings were efficiently conducted by Shri Pawan Kumar Mishra, Member-Secretary, TOLIC Korba and Manager (Rajbhasha), NTPC Korba.
