Arun Kumar Singh Gets One-Year Extension as ONGC Chairman
ONGC Chairman Arun Kumar Singh has been given a one-year extension starting December 7, 2025, ensuring continuity in leadership at India’s largest energy PSU.

New Delhi, December 03, 2025: Arun Kumar Singh, Chairman and CEO of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), has been granted a one-year extension in his tenure. The extension will take effect from December 7, 2025, and will remain valid until a new chairman takes charge or until the completion of one year, whichever occurs earlier.
Singh, a veteran of the energy sector with decades of experience, has been leading ONGC since December 2022. Under his leadership, the Maharatna company has focused on strengthening domestic oil and gas production, accelerating exploration projects, and expanding its renewable energy footprint.
The continuation of Singh’s term comes at a time when ONGC is executing several strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing India’s energy security and modernizing upstream operations. The extension is expected to ensure leadership stability as the company navigates evolving global energy dynamics.
