New Delhi: In a special moment celebrating a legacy of global collaboration, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) honoured its longstanding partnership with British Airways at the IATA Aviation Energy Forum held in Mexico.

British Airways, the United Kingdom’s flagship carrier and one of Europe’s largest international airlines, shares a relationship with BPCL that dates back to the 1950s. The partnership began with Burmah Shell supplying Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) to the airline’s predecessors—BOAC and BEA. This association continued seamlessly after the two companies merged in 1974 to form British Airways.

Today, BPCL continues to be a trusted ATF supplier for British Airways across all major Indian airports serviced by the airline, reinforcing decades of operational excellence, trust, and mutual growth.

As part of BPCL’s 50th Anniversary celebrations, Shri Subhankar Sen, Director (Marketing), along with Shri Sanjeev Kumar, Business Head – Aviation, presented a commemorative plaque to Mr. Juan Ramon Minguel l Grano, Global Senior VP – Fuel, and Ms. Eileen Ivette Guibernau Cordoves, VP. The gesture underscored British Airways’ continued confidence in BPCL’s reliability, service quality, and aviation fuel expertise.

This enduring partnership remains a testament to BPCL’s strong reputation in the global aviation energy sector. Built on shared commitment, seamless fuel support, and deep-rooted trust, the collaboration continues to solidify BPCL’s legacy in international aviation.
