CERC Chairperson Visits NTPC Bongaigaon
Shri Barua visited various areas of the plant including the TG Hall, Control Room and Safety Park of the station.

Bongaigaon: Shri Jishnu Barua, IAS (Retd), Chairperson, Central Electricity Regulatory Authority (CERC) visited NTPC Bongaigaon on 21st and 22nd of June 2023.
Shri Barua visited various areas of the plant including the TG Hall, Control Room and Safety Park of the station.
Shri Barua presented safety awards to contract workers who have demonstrated and have been consistently practising best safety practices at the workplace. He lauded the workers for their consciousness and priority towards safety.

In his visit to the control room, Shri Barua interacted with the operation engineers and appreciated their efforts towards running the units in an efficient manner and their 24x7 contribution to the nation.

Shri Barua planted saplings during the visit spreading the message of conservation. Shri Shiva Suman, Dy.Chief (Engineering),CERC, Shri Partha Mazumder, Regional Executive Director, ER-II, Shri Karunakar Das, CGM,NTPC Bongaigaon, members from Corporate Commercial team along with heads of various Deptts were present during the visit.
