New Delhi, October 9, 2025: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) successfully hosted UITP India’s biennial flagship event on rail – the UITP India Urban Rail Conference 2025, held on 9th October 2025 in New Delhi. The conference was focused on cybersecurity. Dr Gulshan Rai, former and First National Cyber Security Coordinator to the Prime Minister’s Office, India, graced the conference as a chief guest and delivered the keynote address.
The conference brought together over 200 participants from National and International metros organizations and industry expert including France, Canada, Spain, Portugal, and Austria, making it a platform for international collaboration and knowledge exchange in the urban rail sector.
The key areas of discussion were Cyber Resilient Metro: Building Secure Urban Mobility System, Modernising Metro Rail: The Intersection of IT and OT, Roadmap for urban rail systems in India and abroad, Securing operational technology in Metro Rail: A Lifecycle approach, etc.
The conference also featured talks and knowledge-sharing sessions on the latest developments, innovations, and emerging trends shaping the global urban rail ecosystem.
