DMRC introduces priority frisking for passengers like Divyangjans, senior citizens, pregnant women

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), in collaboration with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), has introduced priority frisking for certain categories of passengers at all Metro stations. Passengers in this category such as Divyangjans, pregnant women, women with newborns, senior citizens and injured persons will be greatly facilitated by getting priority frisking while entering the Metro station.

The initiative aims to provide a seamless and comfortable travel experience to these passengers so that they can go through the security check process comfortably. By introducing such a priority frisking system, DMRC has once again tried to demonstrate that the Metro system is committed to providing a highly accessible, inclusive and empathetic facility to all.

In case of any doubt or dispute regarding eligibility for this facility, security personnel may request the passenger to produce relevant documents to verify their status. DMRC is working closely with CISF and security personnel to implement initiatives like priority frisking and issue necessary guidelines to facilitate special category passengers.

DMRC has always given priority to providing all kinds of convenience from start to destination in the Metro system including reserved seats for Divyangjans and senior citizens. All DMRC premises are passenger friendly with facilities like tactile paths, wheelchairs and other support systems to provide a seamless travel experience. With this move, DMRC has further strengthened its commitment towards social responsibility, setting an example for public transport systems across the country.
