New Delhi: The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC), a power behemoth of eastern India, successfully concluded its landmark national conclave, 'DVC Pratyay,' a two-day event held on December 8th and 9th at Kolkata.

The entire initiative was founded on the philosophy that "in an age when perception defines progress, communication stands at the heart of transformation," aiming to lead a massive movement to bring genuine meaning back into corporate communications in India.
 

DVC Pratyay, a revolutionary step taken by a government organization, explicitly recognizing the critical need to redefine the importance of corporate communication in the country.

The inaugural session honored Mr. Barun Chanda, a renowned actor, writer, and veteran advertising professional with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Mr. Chanda was celebrated not just for his notable cinematic presence but, more importantly, for his seasoned advertising professionalism and diverse perspectives, making him the perfect Chief Guest to discuss the complexities of modern communication.

Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, Additional Secretary of DVC, set the philosophical stage with the memorable story of a black dot on a blank page, beautifully encapsulating the core message and purpose of the dialogue, focus, and perspective.

The Chairman DVC reiterated the need and importance of Corporate communications in the social media ecosystem.

DVC Pratyay successfully achieved its objective of strengthening the voice of communicators by gathering an influential array of industry experts from diverse sectors. The conclave brought together Chairmen, Managing Directors, Directors, and senior communication professionals from public and private sector giants like CIL, Balmer Lawrie, Exide Industries, Techno India Group, K.C. Das, Amul and many more.

 

New-age brand leaders, Darshan Dudhoria the CEO of Indian Silk House Agencies and Co-founder of Bari Kothi Heritage Hotel Ltd, and Amarpreet Singh, Brand Strategist & Founder of Curious Brands graced the stage with their insightful deliberations.

Media professionals Udit Prasanna Mukherjee, Business Editor of the Times of India, Ms. Smita Roy Chowdhury, editor t2 and t2Online and cinema industry individuals featured unique perspectives from Mr. Ashoke Viswanathan, Indian Film and Theatre Personality, and Ashim Shekhar Paul, Assistant Professor, SRFTI & Mr. Firdausal Hassan,Indian Film and Television Producer.
