ECR agreed to NTPC's proposal; took up construction of yard augmentation work of Banadag siding

Ranchi: Shri Anupam Sharma, General Manager, East Central Railways (ECR), visited Ranchi on November 16, 2021, accompanied by Divisional Railway Manager, ECR-Dhanbad; Pr. Chief Operating Manager, ECR; Chief Administrative Officer, ECR and other officials from ECR-Dhanbad Division. Shri Partha Mazumder, RED (Coal Mining), National Thermal Power Corporation Limited welcomed them all.
GM, ECR interacted with NTPC Coal Mining and CCL officials. As proposed by NTPC, ECR agreed to take up the construction of yard augmentation work of Banadag siding. Progress on other Railway sidings’ works to facilitate coal evacuation from NTPC’s coal mines was also reviewed.
Pr. COM, ECR appreciated NTPC’s working mechanism at Banadag to control underloading/overloading of rakes. GM, ECR suggested to prepare a Vision Document for coal loading system for NTPC and CCL, in ECR area.
