LIC re-appoints Siddhartha Mohanty as CEO and Managing Director

The state-owned life insurer Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has announced the re-designation of its chairman, Siddhartha Mohanty, as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, effective June 30, 2024. The announcement was made public through an official filing with the stock exchanges on Sunday.
Siddharth Mohanty who joined LIC as an apprentice officer in 1985, holds a Bachelor's Degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Arts (Political Science) from Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
Additionally, he has a Post Graduate Certification in Business Management from the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar, Odisha.
Throughout his career at LIC, Mohanty has held several key positions, including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer of LIC Housing Finance Limited.
He has also served as Senior Divisional Manager of Raipur and Cuttack, Chief (Legal), Chief (Investment – Monitoring and Accounting), and Executive Director (Legal).
