MCL hosts National Seminar-cum-Function on Effective Implementation of Official Language Hindi

Sambalpur, Date: 29 April 2025, : A one-day national level seminar-cum-function on the topic "Effective Implementation of Official Language Hindi: Challenges and Solutions" was successfully concluded under the aegis of City Official Language Implementation Committee, Sambalpur in Mahanadi Coalfields Limited in the main auditorium located at MCL, Jagriti Vihar on 28 April 2025.

In the program, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Mahanadi Coalfields Limited, Shri Uday Anant Kavle, in an inspirational address called upon all the officers and employees to keep making continuous efforts to make Hindi a simple and effective language for office work. Describing the official language Hindi as a symbol of unity and harmony of the country, he laid special emphasis on its wide publicity and practical use.

The programme was inaugurated by lighting of the lamp by Smt. Aastha Jain, Joint Director (Official Language), Ministry of Coal, Government of India and the guests present. In her inaugural address, Smt. Jain highlighted the growing importance of Official Language Hindi and presented important suggestions for the need for its effective implementation and for solving practical challenges.

On this occasion, Shri Vichitrasen Gupta, Deputy Director (Implementation), Regional Implementation Office (East), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India also expressed his views and emphasized on the strong use of Hindi in government work. The logo of NARAKAS, Sambalpur was released by the Chairman, Nagar Official Language Implementation Committee, Sambalpur.

In the seminar, subject experts gave detailed lectures on various aspects of Official Language Hindi. Dialogue sessions, cultural presentations and interesting activities were also organized to increase participation, which were appreciated with great enthusiasm by the participants.

More than 150 participants from all over the country participated actively in the programme and shared their experiences.

The Official Language Department, MCL expressed gratitude to all the guests and participants and hoped that such events would play an important role in the promotion and empowerment of the Hindi language.
