NALCO Awards Major 25-Year Bauxite Mining Contract to Dilip Buildcon
NALCO's Board approved the award of the 25-year Mining Development & Operation (MDO) contract for Pottangi Bauxite Mines and OLCC to L-1 bidder M/s. Dilip Buildcon Limited, with Base Mining Charges set at Rs. 423.00 per ton.
Bhubaneswar, Odisha: December 9, 2025 — National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a major Government of India enterprise, has announced the award of a significant, long-term mining contract. The company’s Board of Directors, in a meeting held today, approved the proposal to select M/s. Dilip Buildcon Limited as the Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) for its vital Pottangi Bauxite Mines.
Dilip Buildcon, which was the L-1 (lowest) bidder, has been awarded the contract for the Development and Operation of the Pottangi Bauxite Mines. This massive project also includes the construction of the Overland Conveyor Corridor (OLCC) and other necessary facilities. The contract is set for a long tenure of 25 years, ensuring a stable supply of raw material for NALCO's operations.
The agreed-upon Base Mining Charge is fixed at Rs. 423.00 per ton. This strategic move secures NALCO's bauxite supply chain for its aluminium production for decades to come.
