NHPC Director Reviews Subansiri Upper HE Project and Strengthens CSR in Arunachal Pradesh

Shri Suprakash Adhikari, Director (Technical) of NHPC, visited the Subansiri Upper Hydro Electric (HE) Project in Arunachal Pradesh from 5–6 January 2026 to review the ongoing project progress. During his visit, he inspected key project sites, including the dam and the powerhouse at Menga, emphasizing quality, safety, and timely execution in line with NHPC’s technical and environmental standards.

In addition to project review, Shri Adhikari attended the Si-Donyi Hilo Festival at Dumporijo as Chief Guest, demonstrating NHPC’s respect for local culture and its close engagement with regional communities. Further strengthening NHPC’s CSR commitment, two ambulances were provided to the Community Health Centres at Dumporijo and Maro, improving emergency healthcare access in remote areas.

The visit highlighted NHPC’s integrated approach of combining infrastructure development with social responsibility and cultural sensitivity, supporting sustainable growth and development in the region.

NHPC, under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, continues to demonstrate leadership in hydroelectric infrastructure while ensuring positive community impact across project regions.
