NTPC Barh achieved Full Load Operation of Stage-I, Unit 3 (660 MW) for the first time on 29 March 2025 at 17:38 hrs, in the presence of Shri Sudip Nag, RED (East-I), Shri G Srinivasa Rao, ED Barh, Shri. K N Reddy, ED-(PM) and members of Team Barh and Associates marking a significant milestone of Barh STPP.
This achievement is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and relentless efforts of the NTPC Barh team. With this achievement, NTPC Barh further strengthens its power generation capacity, reinforcing NTPC’s commitment to ensuring reliable and sustainable energy for the Nation.
NTPC's Barh Super Thermal Power Station, located in Barh in the Indian state of Bihar, is a mega power project owned by the Indian energy company National Thermal Power Corporation.
The 1,320 MW (2 x 660 MW) Barh Stage-2 built by BHEL is operational, while 1,980 MW (3 x 660 MW) Barh Stage-1 was being built by Russian firm Technopromexport (TPE).
