NTPC Bongaigaon’s e VOICE efforts bring smiles to the aspirations of nearby youth
The focus of Disha class has been to empower the local youth of the district through various employment avenues.

Three students of the Disha Classes namely Shri Arunjyoti Roy and Shri Raju Mohan Roy from Kalipukhari Village near to NTPC Bongaigaon have been selected in Indian Army under the Agniveer Scheme and Ms Gayatri Roy, from Jaregaon village near NTPC has been selected in Assam Police Radio Organisation.
Shri Karunakar Das, CGM, NTPC Bongaigaon met the successful candidates and motivated them to achieve success in life. NTPC Bongaigaon's Disha Classes, an e-VOICE (Employee Voluntary Organizations for Initiatives in Community Development) initiative of the power station run by the employees of the station who devote their time beyond office hours has been a ray of hope for the students of nearby villages.
The power station's efforts through the Disha Classes since 2019 have seen a huge participation of more than 200 students every month with an intent to shape their career and prepare themselves for a better future. As a part of the classes, CISF Unit of NTPC Bongaigaon imparts free physical training to the students and gives them sessions which will be helpful for them.
NTPC Bongaigaon e-VOICE team has always ensured the holistic development of the area. The focus of Disha class has been to empower the local youth of the district through various employment avenues.
