NTPC Bongaigaon plants more than 500 fruit bearing saplings on the World Environment Day 2022
New Delhi.
World Environment Day was celebrated at NTPC Bongaigaon today on 5th June, 2022 by administering the Environment Day Pledge to the employees of the station by Shri Subrata Mandal, ED,NTPC Bongaigaon. A walkathon was also done on the occasion by the senior officials , employees and family members of the station.
On this occasion, a massive tree-plantation drive was undertaken at the township where a large number of employees,family members,ladies club members and associates planted over 500 fruit-bearing and medical saplings.
In his message, Shri Subrata Mandal spoke on the efforts taken by EMG Group and NTPC Bongaigaon towards environment protection and afforestation and emphasized upon the initiatives taken by the company for developing a green-belt in the township, plant and surrounding areas.
He emphasised that the efforts of the people towards preservation of the environment should be done on a sustained basis continuously.
Shri Umesh Singh GM (FM), Shri D.P Patra, GM (Operations), Shri Induri Reddy, GM (Maintainence)joined the celebration by planting saplings.
Various competitions have also been organized on this occasion for employees, family members and associates.
