NTPC inaugurated Intra Regional Sports Meet

NEW DELHI- Intra Regional Sports Meet(IRSM) Cricket  Tournament 2023 , NTPC Easter Region-II went off to a colorful start at Ambedkar Stadium of NTPC Talcher Kaniha.

It was inaugurated in the morning by Shri K S Sundaram, ED Talcher Kaniha, in presence of  Shri A. K. Sehgal, GM(O&M) Talcher Kaniha, Shri R. N. Das, GM(Project), Shri Y.M. Muralikrishna, GM(Operation), Shri Ch. Satya Rama Krishna, GM(ADM), Shri B. K. Pandey, AGM(HR), and other senior officials, representatives of Unions, Association, Members of Sports Council, and senior members of Tanvi Sangam. The release of colorful balloons marked the occasion.

Power professionals from the five thermal power stations of Eastern Region 2, headquartered at Bhubaneswar, namely, NTPC Talcher Thermal, NTPC Darlipali, NTPC Bongaigaon(Assam) NTPC North Karanpura(Jharkhand) besides host NTPC Kaniha are participating in the six-day limited over cricket tournament.

Sports is recognized as an integral part of NTPC culture and the company strives to promote sports and games among its employees as well as among the youth of the local communities of all the power stations.

The twenty-over-a-side limited cricket tournament will conclude on March 8, when the two top-ranking teams would battle it out at the Ambedkar stadium cricket ground for the cricket crown of NTPC ER II region.
