NTPC Kaniha win 1st Intra Regional Power Quiz-2023

Bhubaneswar: The 1st Intra Region Power Quiz - 2023 of NTPC Limited, Eastern Region-II was conducted on 04.10.2023 at Bhubaneswar.

Shri S Venkateswarlu, DGM (Operation) and Shri P Krishna Kishore, Dy. Manager (Operation) from Talcher Kaniha were adjudged as the winners whereas, Shri Samit Kumar Deb, AGM (HR/R&R) and Shri Arun A. Thachil, DGM (Engineering Services) from Talcher Thermal adjudged as the 1st Runner up and Shri Nishant Kumar, Dy. Manager (Operation) and Shri Pankaj Saxena, Dy. Manager (Operation) from Darlipalli adjudged as the 2nd runners-up

A total number of 11 teams from Talcher-Kaniha, Talcher Thermal,

Bongaigaon, Darlipalli and North Karanpura participated in the quiz

competition. The main objective of the Power Quiz is to assess the awareness and knowledge level of executives in the changing Power Scenario as well as to make power professionals aware of the emerging business scenario, energy transition and changing global scenario and also provide a platform for executives to showcase their knowledge and skills.

The Regional Power Quiz 2023 was organized successfully under the

guidance of Shri Partha Mazumder, Regional Executive Director (East-II) and

was inaugurated by Shri N. S. Rao, Executive Director (TSTPS). Shri

Karunakar Das, CGM (Bongaigaon) was also present on the occasion.

The Quiz was conducted by Shri K.M. Prashanth, GM (HR), NTPC-Kanti.

Topics on Green Hydrogen, Solar & Wind Energy, Energy Storage, New &  Innovative Technologies, Regulatory Reforms initiatives & Innovative Business Models were covered during the Quiz.

Runner Up. A cash award of Rs.5,000/-, Rs.4,000/- and Rs.3,000/- were presented respectively to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners besides Certificates and mementos. The power quiz was also witnessed by the employees and their family members. Executives of Odisha Power Transmission Corporation Limited (OPTCL) and other utilities also witnessed the event.
